Nontraditional
and adult students, 24 years or older, may choose to attend
an orientation conducted by the Office of Adult Students and
Evening Services (OASES). By attending the OASES program,
students are NOT required to attend SOAR activities. Fall
orientation will be held Saturday, August 23 from 9:00 a.m.-
1:00 p.m.. Parking decals, ID cards, and books may be obtained after the orientation session. A library tour will be offered and computer/ 49er Express assistance will be available in the Barnard computer labs.
OASES offers a variety of services and programs: general education advising, tuition payment drop-off, parking assistance, and delivery and pickup services to other campus offices. OASES also supports a scholarship program, the Adult Mentoring Program for Students (AMPS), the Non-Traditional Student Organization (NTSO), as well as an honor society for adult students.
